ACCESS CONTROL
Metra's access control element consists of turnstiles, door locks and car park units.

It provides a powerful and flexible way of controlling visitor access into and within a facility thereby preventing illegal entry, and allowing you to charge more if the visitor exceeds their allocated time period.

TURNSTILES

Turnstiles have the following features:-

  • No visitor supervision is required.
  • Allow complete control of visitors entering - no tailgating.
  • Completely flexible access control - not just time and date validation, but number of entries is controlled.
  • Groups of people can easily be handled with one wristband.
  • Immediate reporting on the total number of visitors within the building or part of the building.
  • Incorporated wristband eater cleans wristband memory for next use.
  • Visitor is denied exit if allocated time period is exceeded (enabling additional charges to be made).
  • Visitor is denied exit if they have left their locker closed (preventing locker 'hogging').
  • Visitor is denied exit if a borrowed item has not been returned.
  • Visitor is denied exit if cashless vending account is still outstanding.

DOOR LOCK UNIT
This is used where access needs to be controlled with a conventional door.

It is available for use on one side or both sides of the door and for added security it can be controlled with a PIN number as well.
